As you know my mom was diagnosed with cancer back in July. Since then, we've gone through surgery, we're successfully making our way through recovery, and the doctor's have finally been able to give us a clean bill of health. There's no more cancer to be found.
In some ways, I can't believe that it was only 3 months ago that this all started. Yet, in other ways it feels as if it was a lifetime ago. It's funny how time is so relative.
This post will be my only one for October. Why?
In the past, I've tried to jump back into my reading & blogging and was only partly successful. In other words, I've been reading but not blogging. Now, I'm trying to be smart and give myself a head start before I jump right back in.
What does this mean?
It means this post will remain the only post showing until November 1st. I've already started by updating my pages with my most current information. Check out the "Nice to Meet Ya" & "Coming Soon" sticky notes at the top of Books N Beans.
As of November 1st:
There will be a review posted every day in the month of November.
Saturdays & Sundays will be reserved for books I've been asked to review. I will not only "showcase" these books, but I will also "spotlight" the author(s) on the same day. This means on Saturdays & Sundays there will be 2 posts.
I don't know yet if I'll be able to post anything besides reviews in November. I hope to, but right now my main focus is the books the authors have so graciously entrusted me with.
Below is the schedule for the Saturday/Sunday Showcase Spotlight:
November 5: Lady Justice and the Lost Tapes by Robert Thornhill
November 6: Lady Justice Gets Lei'd by Robert Thornhill
November 12: Love.com by RW Bennett
November 13: Rendezvous Rock by Rickey Bray
November 19: Vampire General: Intern with a Vampire by Kit Iwasaki
November 20: Ecstatic Evil by Amanda McNeil
November 26: Symphony of Blood by Adam Pepper
November 27: Darwin's Children by Natasha Larry
December 3: The Blonde Heiress, a Carter A. Johnson Novel by R.E. Schobernd
December 4: Timeless Trilogy, Book One: Fate by Tallulah Grace
December 10: Fourth Degree of Freedom by Libby Heily
December 11: Dead is the New Black by Christine DeMaio-Rice
December 17: ***To Be Determined*** Author Russell Blake
December 18: Dark Blonde: A Michael Angel Detective Series by David H. Fears
*As you can see, the schedule extends into December.
**This schedule is subject to change, based on author preference. While no author can be moved up to another author's position, an author can request to be reviewed without a spotlight, therefore placing their review on a weekday & eliminating their position on the Showcase list.
***As for the 2 weeks following this schedule, I know I will not post any author's spotlights on the weekends as they will be holidays. I am undecided if I will post during the weekdays for that 2 week period.
